To all our brothers and sisters in Christ leading and pastoring in the local church:  THANK YOU.  It is your leadership and service, by the grace of God, that sustains our family and the Church as God’s light to the world.  We are grateful for all you do.

Within Storehouse Fund’s mission, our greatest desire is to see other local churches equipped to resource and mobilize the body of Christ in relations to ministry targeting the least of these. 

​

There are strong agreements and covenants in the Bible that indicate the least as a group that God requires us to be mindful of and to fight for, and certainly not to forget.  The word used the third tithe in Deuteronomy (see more on About Page) are better defined as “justice” than it is “charity.”  This is understood quite commonly among our Jewish friends.  God desires biblical justice for those in need, and we are his chosen instruments of service.

 

It would be a privilege for me personally (Doug) to come and share with your leadership our experience with Storehouse Fund and the blessing it was to our community and how it engaged the hearts of our church for the poor, orphan, refugee, and persecuted believer.

In 5 years, with very little effort in a small church, we distributed over $160,000 of donations to 90 different opportunities that arose over that time.  It was incredible.

My hope is that we can offer resources, workshops, booklets, and some guidelines to help your community adopt its own Storehouse Fund and engage grant opportunities in a way that reflects your hearts and as opportunities come up organically within your own community.  In addition, I would be honored to come in speak if an invitation were extended.
